Tamiya Honda S2000

Tamiya's choice to model the S2000 was a refreshing sight, as not many Hondas are modeled in the UK!
The car represents the Japanese version, with RHD dash but with the narrower rear number plate surround which is different from the European version. We also get headlight washers on our cars here.
Honda Silverstone Metallic was chosen as the colour, as I wanted to use the red leather interior choice, which gave me silver, white or black as colour choices! It's a very spangly paint, which looks a bit out of scale in 1/24th! But I wanted to go with the correct shade, as the special silver/grey is hard to replicate.
The kit is fantastic, with crisp mouldings and the exquisite metal badges Tamiya now include with a lot of kits.
The wheels were sprayed to tone down the brightness of the kits items and the third brake light was painted accurately according to photos.
Another car I have had the pleasure of driving, in the exact specification I modelled!
I have since acquired a model F20C engine, so expect another S2000 kit in the future!
